Remote Worker Visa Can Now be Applied Onshore

In June, Indonesia announced a significant expansion of its Remote Worker Visa program, now allowing both offshore and onshore applications. This change aims to attract digital nomads and professionals seeking to work remotely from popular locations like Bali.


Previously, the visa was only accessible to applicants from outside Indonesia. The new policy allows those already in the country on tourist or other short-term visas to apply for the Remote Worker Visa E33G without having to leave the country. This move is part of Indonesia's broader strategy to boost its economy by tapping into the growing trend of remote work.
