and measures in Bali

Last update: 10/01/2024 23:12

overview

Tropical Bali is recovering from the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Thanks to a significant drop in cases and successful widespread vaccination, the Indonesian government has lifted all of the restrictions that were put in place to limit the spread of the virus. Visitors and residents can again fully experience the unique culture and beauty of the island. Bali is coming back to life and is welcoming back tourists from all over the world. In this Guide, you will learn about the current situation with Covid-19 in Bali and the measures being taken to ensure the safety of everyone on the island.

This Guide is divided into the following sections:

Covid-19 Situation

In Bali, the Covid-19 spread is under control, with just a few new cases per day. The Indonesian government has indirectly forced citizens to get vaccinated and even approved a second booster in January 2023. Together with Pfizer, plans to stockpile the vaccine for children from 6 months to 5 years, which will be available in the second quarter of 2023.

In everyday life, Covid-19 practically disappeared. The disease is treated like the common flu. After a positive test, the doctor sends you home; no further check-up or test is required. You should just stay home for a week. Nowhere do they require any tests because it is assumed that everyone is already vaccinated.

Current Covid-19 Measures

Currently, there are no restrictions and measures valid in Bali that would interfere with the everyday life of residents or tourists (e.g., masks, restrictions on gatherings, limited opening hours and capacity of restaurants, and so on).

All precautions for entering Indonesia (Bali) were canceled on 09/06/2023, so there is no required proof of vaccination against Covid-19 or mandatory Satu Sehat application installed.
